Welcome to St. Vincent's Pre-School and Nursery!

At our Pre-School and Nursery we provide a happy and safe learning environment with exciting, play based educational activities for children aged 2 to 4 years old.

We have a play based curriculum which incorporates the children’s interests alongside exciting topics. We work hard to develop the prime areas of the Early Years Curriculum which include: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language and Physical Development as well as planning stimulating activities which link to the rest of the Early Years Curriculum.

We are registered to take up to 30 pre-school children and 30 nursery children per session.  Although we are attached to a Catholic primary school, there is no religious requirement to attend our Pre-School or Nursery.

Nursery Sessions and Options

Core Morning Sessions:
From the academic year following their third birthday, all children are eligible for our Morning nursery sessions which run from 8:45am to 11:45am, Monday to Friday. These sessions are funded by the government and are free to all 3/4 year olds.

New Full-Time Nursery Offer:
In addition to the core sessions we also offer a full-time, rich nursery experience, with optional Lunch and Afternoon sessions. This provision is delivered by our experienced nursery staff, ensuring continuity and security for children as they prepare to start Reception the following September with their cohort.  These sessions run as follows:

Wrap-Around Care:

If needed, children may also attend our Breakfast and After School Clubs, which run before and after school, from 7.30am until 5.30pm.  More information can be found here: Wraparound Care. 

Funding and Payments

We accept 30 Hours Funding and Tax-Free Childcare to help cover the cost of pre-school, and nursery's optional extra sessions. For more information and to apply, visit www.beststartinlife.gov.uk.  Please provide us with your Eligibility Code, National Insurance number, and TFC Reference if you will be using these schemes.

Fees will be invoiced half-termly and can be paid through the ParentMail app. If you have difficulty paying fees, please inform the office immediately.
